Chocolate mousse, my absolute favorite dessert! I don’t have much of a sweet tooth but I occasionally crave something chocolatey– I mean, don’t we all? This Paleo chocolate mousse hits the spot every time. With a special star ingredient, it’s a healthier alternative to most desserts. It is so thick and decadent, your friends will never guess that it’s Paleo and that it took less than 5 minutes to make. No cooking or baking required; all you need is your trusty food processor or blender and a few ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.
So what’s that star ingredient you may ask?
Avocados! The delicious fruit is fully loaded with health benefits; add raw cacao and honey to the mix and you’ve got yourself a nutritious dessert. Avocados give it its silky, creamy texture while still appearing and tasting like a regular *chocolate mousse.
Not only is it a Paleo chocolate mousse, it’s also Vegan, child-friendly, dairy-free, refined sugar-free, and gluten-free. You can control the sweetness to your liking because it’s sweetened with honey. This has become my daughter’s favorite dessert and she asks me to make it for her when she sees that we have avocados in the house.
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, you can impress your favorite person by making this for an after-dinner treat. It can be enjoyed as is or topped with your favorite ingredients. I like it with raspberries, strawberries, pomegranate seeds, chia seeds, coconut flakes, and if you’re feeling extra fancy, coconut whipped cream.
