Today is day 101, which means I have finished the Whole100! I’ve spent my entire summer eating a very limited diet; surviving parties, potlucks, picnics, holidays, special events, and many gatherings with family and friends. If you’ve read my first post, you know that I was doing this to reset my body and to prepare mentally for a long trip home to see my family. We leave soon to meet four beautiful newborn babies, all born in less than two weeks; my first nephew and the children of my very dear cousins who are like sisters to me.

I’ve never done this before on any of my previous Whole30’s or Whole100’s and I’m usually really good at not doing this, but I messed up this time! Let me tell you what happened. On day 31, I woke up and started my day like any other, but halfway through the day I went down to the basement [Read more…]
Here we are, my first 20 day update. So far, I’m feeling great! The first few days were rough. I was traveling and didn’t eat my normal Paleo diet, so jumping into a Whole100 was not easy. It was like my body was detoxing; I was in a bad mood, I had a strange headache, and my immune system was shutting down before I had even started day 1. I was even craving foods I don’t normally eat. I wanted frozen yogurt, ice cream, and chocolate! [Read more…]
